Dr. Carl Canlas research focus includes project management, cybersecurity and web development. He currently collaborates with academia and practitioners within government and not for profit organizations to further research work on effective leadership development. He holds a bachelor's degree in Information Systems, master's degrees in Information Systems and Public Administration, and a doctorate in Information Technology.

He is married to Family and Human Development Professor, Jerevie Malig. Together they have three beautiful children. Outside of the office, Carl enjoys basketball, cycling and playing the bass guitar with his local band.
