Ross is a global expert in project programme and portfolio governance. He is the lead author of “Project programme and portfolio governance - P3G” and has written white papers for the UK Cabinet Office Best Management Practice website. He was an official reviewer of the OGC's Management of Portfolios guidance. He regularly presents at conferences and has been a guest lecturer for tertiary education bodies.
Ross develops, implements and builds capability in project governance frameworks that enable senior executives to manage their organisations’ program and project portfolios, providing the visibility, control and confidence they require to ensure value for money. He designs and implements enterprise governance frameworks for organisations, ensuring logical and integrated decision rights and accountabilities.
He has extensive experience in project assurance, including the assurance of programs and portfolios, which provide senior executives with decision making confidence. Ross is an expert in the Gateway Review Process, having implemented it in two jurisdictions, advised others and led, or been a member of, many Gateway Review teams.
His work encompasses related areas such as investment gates, project life cycles, P3O and PMO design and implementation, and business model design, including resolving problematic Purchaser/Provider relationships.
Ross works with best practice methodologies such as PRINCE2, MSP, MoP and P3O as well as the PMI’s PMBoK.
He operates at both strategic and tactical levels within organisations and has over 25 years experience covering Australia, the UK, the Middle East, Eastern Europe and the USA.
